For teams that deliver work on a deadline
OrbitBell was designed for teams of a few people to a few dozen who coordinate work today through email, chat and spreadsheets.
Agencies, consultancies and studios
Day to day: Several clients at once, requests arriving from everywhere, approvals that take their time, and deadlines set by someone else.
| Before | With OrbitBell |
|---|---|
| The client emails a request, someone copies it into a spreadsheet — and sometimes doesn't. | The client fills in a public form, without needing an account, and the request lands as a task in the right project. |
| To show the client how things are going, someone writes a report by hand. | The client joins as a guest, at no cost, and sees only their project. |
| Approvals get lost between versions and emails. | Approval is requested on the task, and comments on the image become subtasks to fix. |
To get started: The work-request and project-plan templates. Time tracking per task, if you need to know where the hours go.

Project teams
Day to day: A project with phases, dependencies and a delivery date. If one piece slips, the rest follow.
| Before | With OrbitBell |
|---|---|
| The plan lives in a Gantt chart nobody updates after week one. | The Timeline is the work itself: moving a bar changes the task, and dependent tasks follow. |
| You only notice someone has too much on when it's already too late. | The Workload view shows each person's load, with time off taken into account. |
| The weekly status check is an hour-long meeting. | A status update is posted on the project, with progress, blockers and next steps. |
To get started: The project-plan and event-planning templates.

People coordinating several teams
Day to day: Several projects running in parallel, goals for the quarter, and little appetite for spending the week chasing updates.
| Before | With OrbitBell |
|---|---|
| Each team reports its own way, in a different format. | Projects are grouped in a portfolio, with each one's status and updates on one screen. |
| Quarterly goals live in a separate document. | Goals are linked to projects and tasks, and progress is calculated from them. |
| To find out who's free, you ask each team lead. | The Workload view shows who has room, across all projects at once. |
To get started: Create a portfolio with your existing projects and link them to a goal.

We don't have customer stories to tell yet. These are the uses OrbitBell was designed for; once teams are using it, we'll share what changed for them here, with their permission.
